The risks for Breast and Ovarian cancer can be inherited from your parents. The Breast Evaluation Center is now offering genetic testing for the appropriate candidates. We are designated a “Practice of Excellence” by Myriad corporation for providing genetic testing. We recommend you have your risk assessed if you have any of the following in your medical history.
• A personal or family history of breast cancer before age 50.
• A personal or family history of ovarian cancer at any age
• A personal or family history of breast and ovarian cancer in the same individual
• A family history of male breast cancer.
The Breast Evaluation Center, established in 1982 as a breast disease and diagnosis specialty radiology medical practice is now participating with Myriad Corporation to offer genetic testing. If you want to have your risk assessed, call The Breast Evaluation Center at 602-279 -7871. We offer state-of-the art testing, surveillance, diagnosis and treatment as well as provide educational resources for women who may be at risk for inherited cancer. Because in the fight against inherited cancer, the first step is finding out if you’re at risk.
The Breast Evaluation Center offers mammography, ultrasound, osteoporosis testing, hormone evaluation, saliva testing and consultation. Immediate results are disclosed to each individual personally by the FDA and ACR certified mammography radiologist.
